About Mike

From the nuclear industry, via petrochemicals to criminal and civil forensic work he has, over the last 30 years, enjoyed investigating a wide variety of fire causes, fire spread, electrical shocks and electrical equipment failures ranging from machinery failure to manslaughter, cigarette fires to chemical plant disasters and from exploding vaping machines to exploding dog-catchers.

Expert Witness

Mike has given expert evidence in both sides of criminal and civil courts, as well as professionally assisting coroners' inquests, mediations and arbitrations. He has written and delivered many presentations and workshops to develop others in the profession, and he was invited and delighted to accept, the opportunity to speak in America on the philosophy of fire investigation.

Chartered Forensic Practitioner

Mike says: "It was a great honour to be accepted onto the pilot scheme for the newly introduced award of Chartered Forensic Practitioner status by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences and even more so to be one of the first five people to gain the award in 2018, and particularly the first ever fire investigator. "

We are located five miles from each of Runcorn and Warrington train stations on the West Coast mainline, ten miles from Liverpool John Lennon Airport and twenty miles from Manchester Airport. We are 2.5 miles from Junction 11 of the M56.
